An Insidious Health Threat: Degenerative Toxemia

Definition of TOXEMIA:

an abnormal condition associated with the presence of toxic substances in the blood--Merriam-Webster

Modern civilization is facing one its gravest health challenges as the food supply is being continuously compromised and undermined that ultimately wreaks havoc with the body's metabolism, immune system and organ function. Today's medical registrar is filled with names and terms like: arthritis, diabetes, circulatory and digestive problems, ulcers, gallstones, kidney stones, bowel problems, glaucoma, cataracts, prostate disorders, osteoporosis, senility, Alzheimer's disease, heart attack, stroke and cancer. They all have one thing in common: toxemia and its countless variations. A daily diet that is saturated with fat particles, cholesterol, protein molecules, salt, condiments and additives will disrupt, diminish and breakdown the body's natural life processes and leading to premature degeneration. Toxemia is a major contributing synergistic cofactor in oxidative stress that can lead to cell tissue injury and neurodegeneration.

Back in the 30's gastroenterologist, Dr. Anthony Bassler made this remarkable statement: "Every physician should realize that the intestinal toxemia (poisons) are the most important primary and contributing causes of many disorders and the diseases of the human body Intestinal toxemia is a protein disorder encompassing the greatest of breadths in medicine and operating causatively and therefore therapeutically through the disorders and diseases in all of the departments of medicine." He once treated and observed 344 patients with arthritis and discovered that symptoms disappeared or lessened greatly with the cleaning up of the intestinal track.

The insidious health threat of degenerative toxemia should be seen in the light of poisoning the soil, food and water supplies, and the increasing destruction of the environment. Its medical costs are continually skyrocketing. By becoming aware of its origins and deleterious effects, humanity perhaps, may one day reclaim its rightful birthright of natural invigorating health.
